Myocardial ischemia occurs when blood flow to your heart is reduced, preventing the heart muscle from receiving enough oxygen. The reduced blood flow is usually the result of a partial or complete blockage of your heart's arteries (coronary arteries).
Myocardial ischemia, also called cardiac ischemia, reduces the heart muscle's ability to pump blood. A sudden, severe blockage of one of the heart's artery can lead to a heart attack. Myocardial ischemia might also cause serious abnormal heart rhythms.
There's some treatments that you can do it yourself: Pressing the Neiguan point. Neiguan is located in the middle of the forearm, about 2 inches on the lateral stripes of the wrist, between the long palm tendon and the radial flexor tendon. It is one of the most acupuncture points for systemic regulation of the heart. Point Neiguan can effectively improve the ability of myocardial anaerobic metabolism and improve the symptoms of myocardial hypoxia and ischemia. Pointing on both sides of the inner point for 1 minute can be strong, adjust the heart rhythm, relieve chest discomfort and other symptoms. Put the thumb of one hand on the inner point of the other hand, press the force slightly downward, keep the pressure constant, and then rotate it. If it has a sore feeling, it will produce an effect.
